privacy policy
What this site stores, and who can see it.
What we store
When you register we store your username, your email address, a one-way digest of your password, the invitation code you used, the time you registered, and the time and IP address of your most recent login.
Your password is never sent to us. It is stretched 600,000 times in your own browser, and we store a keyed one-way digest of the result. We cannot read your password, and neither can anyone who obtains a copy of the database.
Cookies
Two cookies, both strictly necessary. There are no tracking or advertising cookies.
- rn_sess — your signed-in session. HTTP-only, so page scripts cannot read it. Expires after 30 days.
- rn_csrf — a random token proving a form submission came from this site rather than another one. Expires after 30 days.
Who can see what
The board is closed. Your username, join date, post count and everything you post are visible only to other signed-in members — not to the public, and not to search engines. Your email address is never shown to anyone, including other members.
Third parties
The site is served by Cloudflare, which necessarily sees the IP addresses of visitors. If bot protection is enabled it is Cloudflare Turnstile, used only to tell humans from scripts. No analytics and no advertising trackers run on this site.
Deleting your account
Ask a moderator and we will remove your account and your email address. Posts you made may remain, because they are part of threads other people have replied to.
